The Six-Month Evaluation of the Donald Trump Presidency: Too Much TACO (so far)

Ignorance, cult worship, and lack of faith, crowned by a gripping indifference to where we are headed by perhaps 50% of our American citizens. Can we be awakened? Dear reader, we are about to find out...

Every society is destined to have a final chapter. Plato said, “democracies pass into despotism”. Athens and Sparta faded. The Roman empire finally crashed, leaving Rome with less than 10,000 citizens in 510 AD. The British Empire couldn't hold. The Soviet Union once stretched from East Germany to Mongolia and China. Is the fall of the United States a blink away in time? Dear reader, there is only one answer: “it is getting close”.

We have lost sight of where we came from and how we got to be the greatest leader of the free world for the past 70 years. Our citizens today do not know the history of those 55 men in Philadelphia in 1787, who had risked their necks to give us a U.S. Constitution. One that is of, by and for the people. In doing so they gave up preferred political positions of power, and instead gifted “the people” with the right to choose their own political destiny. So dear reader, where are we now 238 years after that historic event? Well, here is the problem:

President Donald Trump does not know or care about the U.S. Constitution. He is driven by power and money. He sees himself as Vladimir Putin II not as American past Presidents George Washington or Ronald Reagan. He embraces and loves the expression “fake news”. And he really does live by his made-up religion entitled “let's pretend”. Lies and disinformation are so extensive that the Washington Post fact checked over 30,000 lies and disinformation from the President’s first 4 years in office. Don't all politicians lie? That is exactly his point. He just feels his lies are the most compelling for his followers. He really does believe that he can fool his followers all the time. He really does believe that truth is just a political countermeasure that his opponents will relentlessly use against him. And he is a master at sticking pins into truth balloons. His ability to deflect truth bombs is so devilish it stops his followers from objecting to his methods. His followers, once ensnared into his cult are then unable to escape out of fear. Their leader has made it clear that he has weapons of retribution and revenge that he will use. His followers give up truth and reality and many of them seem to forsake any fear of a just God, as they fall into the quicksand of compliance. They have given up their freedom of choice out of fear. They have forgotten the Biblical Scriptures. It says you should not fear someone who can destroy your body, but fear who has the ability to destroy your soul.

Let's talk about the latest “Big Beautiful Bill” that was passed last week. Remember this Bill followed many of Project 2025 and DOGE actions against Federal employees and Federal Institutions. The new bill literally robs from the poor to lay on more wealth to the already rich. It is so pathetic that the results of their actions leading up to the bill need to be fact checked. For example, how many Americans know that over 150,000 African children have already died because of closing down the operations at USAID in February of this year? Now every American should note well that President Trump's position on immigrants is now precisely similar to the methods used against the Jews in Nazi Germany. Immigrants are now arrested by masked Gestapo types who refuse to give their name or exactly what they are up to while using no warrants. They often throw down their subjects onto the ground upon arrest, sometimes beating them. They shackle them, and take them away, 95% of the time without any due process of law.

And now under this Bill, food stamps will no longer be allowed for our veterans and most needy schoolchildren. Now Medicare and Medicaid will have more restrictions causing a minimum of 15 million Americans to lose some or all coverage. The MAGA crowd claim that the B.S. of “waste, fraud and abuse” shows that their actions and their restrictions are necessary. It is a sinful and painful incorrect exaggeration done for political purposes. Proven figures over waste, fraud and abuse seldom pass 4%. On and on the cruelty and heartless behavior aimed at so many immigrants and now many innocent Americans as well. Dear reader, please note that many of the American citizens that will be impacted by this cruelty voted for President Donald Trump.

Wait, the worst is yet to come! It's described in a word I made-up: TERRORIFFs, starting on August 1st. Who's going to pay the bill for these tariff increases? Dear reader, you guessed it, the very people that have lost their Federal jobs, the very people who are losing some Medicare and Medicaid benefits will be the losers even more. The very ordinary American will have to pay for the doubling of the price of Mexican tomatoes. President Donald Trump calls this a “Big Beautiful Bill“ so the average American will have to live under this “Beautiful Bill” and help pay for the tax cuts for billionaires. You know, those billionaires who were promised more wealth by this new gang of political chicken pluckers. My Bible says, “what does it profit a man if he gains the whole world but loses his soul?”

Are Donald trump's followers now being led to the gates of hell? It is worse than that! They choose to play dumb; and they even do choose to be cruel. The MAGA crowd fear their leader, a cultlike figure with extraordinary powers to persuade. And those followers who attempt to criticize or disagree with him, he calls “stupid and weaklings” (fact check!).

Dear reader, through his financial manipulations he has made the White House into, “The Casino Royale”, this is where he sells bibles, $100,000 watches, $250 dollar a bottles of cologne, and too many other items to list. Meanwhile he gets commissions on royalties from his meme coin group, having set up an LLC to promote sales. He can make dark money both at Mara Lago and the White House. He has doubled the value of his family estate in the past 12 months. Dear reader, fact check every single word I am saying, then fact check it again.

Dear reader, are the backers of this self-appointed monarch, (oops, partially assisted by some SCOTUS members, who helped increase his power) will these backers get what they deserve as economic truth is going to be fully revealed sooner rather than later? What will emerge on Wall Street? It is the “P word” that will raise its ugly head as it has done so often in the past on Wall Street. It results from poor decisions most often made by money grubbers and ideologues that believe they have all the answers, but their economic philosophy is dumber than dirt. “Panic” is what will rise probably too late, and way after the evidence and facts are finally accepted by those boys from the Wharton School of Finance, the MIT crowd, the Yale crowd, the Harvard crowd, all of those who admitted in 2008 they didn't even see the crash coming. Sometimes 8th graders are better at economics than the well-educated. Our President Donald Trump reminds many of us of King George III of England. Why? King George III was mean to his cabinet, and mean to many of his subjects. And mean to the American colonists in 1775. He died totally insane. Do many of us wish that ending for President Donald Trump? Not at all, he can still save his reputation. It won’t be easy because the American dollar has already lost 20% of its clout. Our neighbors in Canada and Mexico and our friends in the European Union do not consider us a friendly nation anymore. Travel from those three entities to the United States has diminished greatly. The TERRORIFFS put in place against Canada may cause abject devastation. Our American farmers are now totally confused over their future. They won’t be feeding African children. They may lose their soybean exports because of Brazil. Our universities are being threatened over DEI, as well and now foreign students are picked up off the streets of America if they joined a protest crowd. We may lose half of our research and development professors, those also in medicine, engineering and those in AI. This is not good for America. Conceptually, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion are by no means a negative for any society. But now in the United States, they are banned by Universities and Corporations. This is so ignorant it could make a stone cry. We are losing our minds over vaccinations, over climate change, and our research and development will be restricted as a result.

Dear reader, let us all pray for our country and make the powerful and rich see truth as a friend, and not as “bad news” to be avoided. Let us never forget that truth can make you free.

Has a just God lost patience with the United States of America?

Are we now ready to surrender everything to authoritarianism and despotism?

Can we reconnect with freedom, our decency, and the spirit of our Founding Fathers? Will the rule of law step in before it's too late?

A would-be usurper seems to be relentlessly demanding to be let into our lives to practice a different set of political norms on a grand scale. Only a unified group of those of us who still love freedom and liberty can stop this push toward a living hell for so many Americans. We will need the help of a just and loving God, there is no question about that. And we need a unification of all Americans who value truth over party affiliation.

Finally dear reader, I am 88 years old and I cannot believe we are abandoning such a unique gem in the universe to such hell as we see by floods and fires, without even expressing a whimper. Our children and grandchildren are being abandoned by irresponsible inhabitants of this Earth. We have forsaken our duty to preserve and keep this place safe for those who follow us.
