The U.S. Unraveling Over Issues of Freedom?

So dear reader it is beginning to look like there is a chance that government interference will occur in the United States over elections in November. It seems to me the Executive branch is acting quite nervous over the recent voting results in Hungary and Brazil. So be it, every American must rise up and exercise the most important franchise that can be given to us, which is voting.

Do over 30% of Americans want to destroy our rule of law?

I'm 89 years old, not in the best of health. I have a blog (Return to the Beginning.com). I started the blog three years ago because of my feeling that America was drifting away from its principles. I served in the Army for two years as a draftee and I have two older brothers buried in Arlington National cemetery. Both of them saw extreme combat. They did not serve to protect a man, they served to protect all of us under the U.S. Constitution and to maintain freedom in the United States.

THE TROUBLE IN AMERICA

We are experiencing many political problems right now in America. We seem to be abandoning our political Bible; The U.S. Constitution and we seem on our way to possible one-man rule.

We must still celebrate this gift from our Founding Fathers. Their story is not a fairytale. Would they have been pleased to know that their gift lasted 250 years? I believe the answer is absolutely. If we asked our Founding Fathers what we should do in today’s circumstances, they would say never give up and never give in, fight for the rule of law.

Remember in 1945 after World War II we were the victors over Germany and Japan. Were we cynical in victory, did we make the losers suffer? No, we did not, we immediately began converting Germany and Japan to the American way of life via a democratic government. We even held classes introducing both countries to the U.S. Constitution. We also quickly started the United Nations and the Marshall Plan. We accepted the duty of being the leader of the free world. All Presidents since that time, except for Donald Trump, took on that duty of leading the free countries of the world. Instead, it seems to me he venerates the powerful dictators of the world. Fact check!

Sadly, after so many years of freedom we have elected a President indifferent to leading the entire free world. His politics are driven by these three parts: more power, more money and more retribution. He has incrementally cornered 80% of the power in our country. He has ICE agents that are as dangerous to our civilian population as the Gestapo ever was in Nazi Germany. He has full use of the U.S. Treasury, and he is using it fully, with no-bid contracts and actually giving access to the U.S Treasury for several of his foreign potentate friends. They use it on demand as a credit card in some cases. Lest we forget, the Executive branch in the past was never given free reign on political appointments or control of the purse strings. Article One of the U.S. Constitution gave the House and Senate control of the purse strings. So now after 17 months in office our President is $3 trillion over budget. You would have to be from Mars to not see how dangerous it is to relinquish the purse strings to President Donald Trump. We all should note well that this President suffered six bankruptcies in running his real estate business. He went broke and laid off 800 employees at his casino in Atlantic City. An then in his first term as President he broke a record by going almost $8 trillion over budget. Fact check!

President Donald Trump does not ever venerate George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln or Ronald Reagan. On our 250th anniversary he never thought for a moment of inviting our four living past Presidents into the White House for a celebration. He seems only interested in himself and his power. He's not interested in the American way of life. In fact, when he ran for this term as President, he demeaned the “American way”, many times and he accused the loyal opposition (the Democrats), of being “the enemy of the people”. His mentors are Vladimir Putin, Viktor Orban and many dictators of the past. Remember after every conversation he has had with Vladimir Putin, he later will reveal strange things about the conversations. For example, months ago he was asked what the two talked about over the Ukrainian war. Our President said, “we can't give Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine because Putin didn't think it was a good idea”! Seven days ago, he talked for an hour and a half to Vladimir Putin and would not discuss the content of their conversation. Oddly enough, the following day Vladimir Putin was sending many more missiles than usual into Kyiv. Remember this is the President that promised he would end the Ukraine war in 48 hours. Instead, he lays out the red carpet for Vladimir Putin when they met together in Alaska! And now over the Iran war for four months the President has stated daily sometimes that the war is under control and will soon end.

I love my country; I love our flag and our military. I think our Founding Fathers were a unique group of men who, despite all their wealth and power, despite risking their necks in defeating King George III, they were unhappy with the Articles of Confederation as a form of government. So they decided (55 of them) to form a new government. After three straight months of meetings in Philadelphia in 1787, they decided to create “a more perfect union”, of government and give it to “the people”. Well as we all know, 250 years later that document has done its duty, at least up until now. Sadly, the MAGA Senate and the MAGA House and especially the Speaker of the House, Michael Johnson have surrendered all of their power under Article One of the U.S. Constitution to the Executive branch. Sadly, John Roberts, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, has decided America must not go on under what he sees as a country in need of change. He and several of his fellow justices have decided that Blacks and Hispanics are to be sacrificed at the altar of their newfound political ideology over voting. They have decided that they can make it easier on voting matters to allow wide open gerrymandering that would impact political outcomes. Now Blacks and Hispanics in Texas, Florida, Louisianan, Alabama, Tennessee and Indiana will be seriously impacted the most by these SCOTUS decisions. In effect with their decision making, they are acting as if these two groups must pay their taxes and sometimes die in battle but not have complete and unfettered voting rights! Dear reader, remember the result of all of this interfering with free and open elections may be that Tennessee, Louisiana and Alabama will not have a single Black vote in the House of Representatives. This is America?

We must work work and pray pray to get back the rule of law. Many of the MAGA followers have no interest in continuing the United States of America in its present form. We must continue to fulfill the dreams of those men who risked their lives to defeat King George III. I want our children and grandchildren to see and to know what a wonderful Republic our forefathers created. And I celebrate that history by asking you to read with me the 4th stanza of the Battle Hymn of the Republic by Julia Ward Howe.

He has sounded forth the trumpet that shall never call retreat; He is sifting out the hearts of men before His judgment-seat: Oh, be swift, my soul, to answer Him! be jubilant, my feet! Our God is marching on.

Glory, glory, hallelujah! Glory, glory, hallelujah! Glory, glory, hallelujah! His truth is marching on.

Now dear reader, allow me to render this postscript over the President's speech on voting, on July 16, 2026. Remember for over 240 years we had next to no trouble in resolving voting issues throughout all communities and states in America. Wrongdoing or going to prison over individual voting matters was remote. You must search and search to find 15 examples of an immigrant attempting to vote improperly. And this is after billions of votes cast. Some in the DOJ are suggesting because there may be many immigrant improper voting that the Federal ICE officers may have to stand by at the polling places. This, is a laughable threat that simply does not exist. It's all a pretext!

Now an absolute peculiar situation has arisen from the 2020 Presidential election. Present Donald Trump had a 40% approval rating at the end of this fist term. President Joe Biden’s winning vote count was over 7 million Americans. Trump’s Cyber Security appointee and his Attorney General both said the election was totally correct, (they were both fired shortly thereafter). President Trump immediately filed 60 lawsuits, many before his own appointed judges and he never won a single case. Please note America, again and again, there is no proof, no facts, and no evidence to substantiate a “rigged” election by Joe Biden. Dear reader, the millions and millions of dollars being spent to push these lies forward is completely shameful and borders on criminality. We must not tolerate this on-going myth. It is way beyond cynicism, and it does have the appearance of being driven by a wannabe dictator. It is almost as if President Trump is borrowing the political tactics of the Soviet Union and Russia’s Vladimir Putin who treated their citizens as “dupes, stooges and willing idiots” who can be easily manipulated. My answer to that? This is the United States of America, not Russia! We don’t relinquish freedom and liberty easily.

In his speech on July 16^th the President came up with willy nilly indescribable evidence that the Chinese were involved in stealing American names from the voting registry. He suggested every American should do their homework and look at the Chinese devious voting involvement. Upon looking at these documents dear reader, they are 90% redacted. Even Fox News had a difficult time trying to defend the Presidents allegations that there was improper voting in America. We should all note that embracing truth will keep us free.

I do not want to be disrespectful to our President, but the sum total of the SAVE American Act and the Rigged Election Act and the Mail In voting is a strange smoke screen. Is it similar to dictatorship countries who like to malign the voting so they can keep their power by false accusations? Please study this premise.

Two examples of recent freedom loving countries that took back power from dictators are Hungary and Brazil. The case of Hungary should be of interest to every American. CPAC and Fox News Pundits literally fell in love with Viktor Orban politically for over ten years. They touted his form of government, and of course we all know our President did everything he could to get Orban reelected during this past April Hungarian vote. V.P. JD Vance was in Hungary during this vote, and he played a recorded message from the President of the United States Donald Trump which was broadcast to all Hungarian voters. President Trump was asking them to support Viktor Orban in the election. In addition, Russian operatives were in Hungary trying to ensure victory for Viktor Orban. But Viktor Orban lost, after 16 years of solidifying his position throughout the court system, throughout universities, throughout communications and he made his son a billionaire along the way. So, what happened? Why did he lose? The Hungarian voters, despite a lack of money, communications, or newspapers available won the election by an estimated turnout of over 70% in favor of his defeat. A year ago, Brazil did the same thing, as they threw out a dictator. One who was favored to win by our President! Is all of this sad but true? Fact check, fact check!

So dear reader it is beginning to look like there is a chance that government interference will occur in the United States over elections in November. It seems to me the Executive branch is acting quite nervous over the above Hungary and Brazil results. So be it, every American must rise up and exercise the most important franchise that can be given to us, which is voting. Like I have said in the past, voting for the rule of law will make our Founding Fathers and the Angels applaud.

Let us practice “E pluribus unum” and all voters, all parties and all religions keep the promise of our Founding Fathers alive for 250 more years. Thus, keeping truth marching on.

Our U.S. Constitution being used by “the people” for the past 250 years should not be thrown aside because of lack of faith. Lets keep our faith and keep honoring a wonderful document.
