Truth Bombs Again

In Nazi Germany in the early 1930s, they began banning books, then they burned books, then they burned people. Dear reader, a good thing to remember perhaps. They are passing laws in some states that you can fire teachers if they violate “what you can read” codes. But several libraries have fought back by actually having a banned bookshelf in prominent places in the library. Only in America! Libraries now needing to be patrolled by the Thought Police? Never forget, dear reader that our Founding Fathers were an informed and enlightened group of men.

I am 88 years old, a grandfather, a God fearing retired small business owner, a writer by avocation, and an Army veteran with two older brothers buried in Arlington National Cemetery.

I write to keep alive the ideas and the intentions of those 55 men in Philadelphia in 1787. They gave us the U.S. Constitution, which is still a living document, but it is indeed stressed. I invite any and all fact checkers to study this missive and its truthfulness. Truth bombs is not a title by accident. Remember, truth is never just another political opinion as many would have you believe. Truth is not “fake news” by those selling so much disinformation. Truth is forever, and you can bank on it!

It's very important to note that 250 years ago at St. John's church in Richmond VA, a group of local politicians were meeting and one of them, Patrick Henry, while making his speech uttered these words, “I know not what others may do, but for me, give me liberty or give me death”. Both George Washington and Thomas Jefferson were present at that March meeting. And please note that the War of Independence was underway in April at Lexington and Concord.

So, the following are unique paragraphs covering each item of concern 250 years later. Dear reader, we cannot forsake our Founding Fathers using unsubstantiated arguments that Project 2025 and Tariffs will have a good outcome for our country. Do not believe the U.S Institutions are so broken they must all be replaced, including the rule of law.

Legislative Branch

The current makeup of the Senate and House shows a slim MAGA majority. They are supposed to be a Check against the Executive Branch and the Judicial Branch, to fulfill the legal checks and balances against each other. However, they have surrendered their power to the Executive, and do not want to use the power given to them. Why? It is now a political necessity for them to do the bidding of the Executive Branch, President Donald Trump. He has actually made threats that the House and Senate must support everything he does or suffer a Primary intervention in their next reelection campaign. The House and Senate seemed forced into expediency by conforming to political compliance on all of the demands of the Executive.

Executive Branch

We are now experiencing chaos and mayhem in the Executive Branch. Whose fault is it? Well, President Donald Trump and Elon Musk are now on a wild tear of enforcing the adoption of Project 2025. We are in a very peculiar situation because during the 2024 campaign season, all MAGA Republicans denied knowing of Project 2025. Upon taking power, the Executive office drafted their number one contributor to the MAGA campaign, Elon Musk, who was given the task of setting up DOGE (Department of Government Efficiency) to attack every Institution and department trying to find waste, fraud, and abuse. So how did they do it? Well, they started rearranging the deck chairs and warned all staffs in the agencies to leave and not come back in many instances. Many were informed at home not to come in the next day. They were not using subtle business tactics; they were using bulldozers and chainsaws. People were told don't come back and Elon Musk said that the “weeds” must be taken off the payroll because many of them were taking money fraudulently. And he said “the Institutions must disappear, or the weeds will come back”. Dear reader, please fact check this. Please note that the American Federal staffing system is full of many many professionals. They are regular people doing jobs they were hired to do, and there is no proof that they are taking their salaries fraudulently.

The Executive Branch is now practicing casino type activities, selling $100,000 watches, Bibles, clothing, and now a Meme Coin LLC, which is being bought and sold publicly. Also, we should check the transparency and the oversight of all the political dark money, both foreign and domestic, pouring into the White House and Mara Lago. We are in a situation where transparency seems to be absent. The last question must be; is this a family operation, a family venture? Many think this is a fair question to ask.

Judicial Branch

The Supreme Court and the lower Federal courts are working overtime because of so much activity emanating from Executive Orders, already over 150. Personal enemies are on the list, universities, attorneys, political opposition, and so forth. The Executive branch is actually looking for ways to change the way we think, what we read, what we teach, and what the legal profession can or cannot do. Is the court system being tested over the Constitutionality of many moves by President Donald Trump? You betcha. But the Judicial Branch is mostly still embracing our legal Bible, our U.S. Constitution. Three cheers for that! Stay tuned because so much is at risk at this very moment in our political environment. The Supreme Court and the lower Federal Courts undoubtedly will be busier than they have been in some time. They must have our most patriotic support. We must treat the rule of law as the 11th Commandment.

Project 2025

Dear reader, what the heck is project 2025? Well, it is a Heritage Foundation invention, created to counter the “deep state”. They want to revamp all American Institutions. They think American agency inspectors are making life difficult for the business community. They do not like the owners of corporations having to put up with so much Federal oversight. Who's to blame for all the problems with our Institutions? Well, Russell Vought, Kevin Roberts, JD Vance, and even President Donald Trump may have been on the sidelines, produced Project 2025. Many many MAGA operatives participated in how to revamp our Institutions and Agencies. They had the notion that “wokes” were creating these unwieldy Institutions. They targeted many many Institutions saying they were too big and they felt most of the officials at EPA for example were unqualified to walk into American Businesses with compliance demands. Dear reader, note well that “wokes” created Social Security, USAID, HHS, Medicare, Medicaid and many many other Agencies that have helped our fellow citizens and the world. We all would do well to note that government should have a heart and cannot be run “like a business”.

Enter Elon Musk again, the savior of MAGA in July 2024 with an infusion of $260 million to advance the MAGA cause. He immediately helped with a transgender ad on television, (viewed 30,000 times) of a transgender playing on a girls basketball team, tattoos on the arms, etc. Was it an alarming spectacle? You betcha, guaranteed to raise your eyebrows. Well dear reader, please note carefully that transgenders make up less than 1 1/2% of the United States population. And many states have had to look around to even find a transgender on a girls basketball team. For example, Utah found three, Michigan found six, and apparently Maine found seven. So, to think the transgenders are going to be taking over too much of girls sports events seems quite absurd at this time. They are a non-threat, but dear reader now these youngsters must suffer the pain of so much publicity from so many cynical politicians that seem arbitrary and capricious in trying to get elected.

Back to Project 2025, Elon Musk is very very slow to pick up real evidence of wrongdoing in our Institutions. He has made it clear he doesn't like to be fact checked, and every time he says he's finding fraud and abuse he lacks real evidence to show us. So far he has not proved anything overwhelmingly negative throughout the Federal system. He says things that are provocative, like the Social Security system is a Ponzi Scheme. Nothing could be further from the truth, as 95% of our working citizens pay into that system.

Next let’s get into, DEI (Diversity, Equity and Inclusion). What is DEI? Another woke idea? Perhaps. The concept is, you make everyone feel part of the team. Women, gays, blacks, Hispanics, Orientals, Immigrants and other taxpaying American citizens. Why is it objectionable to have black history taught in schools? Why shouldn’t we teach what we did to the Japanese community in World War II when we put them in camps away from California because of suspicion that they were pro Japanese nation, without proof. Why do we want to treat history as something that occasionally must be kept in the closet? The new MAGA politicians have gone on an all-out attack on DEI to make sure it is no longer a principle in business, schools, or universities. So, what did the new Trump Administration do over DEI in the military? Dear reader, the first thing they did was remove all black military photos in the Pentagon. Many documented photos of Tuskegee Airmen and Jackie Robinson were removed from the walls and websites. Many female field grade officers had their MOS changed. High ranking black generals were shifted around. Now dear reader, the 4,000 transgender GI's will lose some of their benefits, causing litigation as well. The question now is whether in the future transgenders will be allowed into the military at all. So, DEI is bad, but now treating certain soldiers like lesser citizens is ok? Dear reader, this world is full of goofy stuff. DEI is not a threat for heaven’s sake. Why should we allow the ignorant and the weird to be given political power, used by the corrupt, the divisive and those looking to divide us.

This sounds a little bit nutty to me. And I hope it certainly sounds peculiar to many others. Morale is part of any military system; that shouldn’t be damaged arbitrarily. It harms everyone if a few are not invited to be at the table. What makes it maybe even a little more difficult is that the Commander in Chief, President Donald Trump, is a proven draft dodger who for years has expressed negativity about our Generals.

We must not become a dumbed down, denying facts type of society! The truth should never be denied. I love my country, I thought the world of Pope Francis and we should all remember he never stopped defending immigrant rights.

All citizens no matter what gender, no matter what political party, what God they worship, what books they read, should be all part of a great nation. The politicians that must practice divide and conquer tactics, should be ashamed and defeated.

Saint Peter said “to honor your government and pay your taxes”. Christ said, “render unto Caesar’s what is Caesar’s and to God what is Gods”. And I would like to repeat, right now, the rule of law should be the 11th Commandment. Let us make sure we all support the United States Supreme Court! Thank you to all Americans seeking to avoid chaos and mayhem for the sake of our children.
