This candidate for Senate in the State of Michigan has made it clear he will stand up for the U.S. Constitution, he will stand up for the rule of law, he will govern with a heart and a soul, and not with division, hatred, and money grubbing. He may have trouble defeating the President and Elon Musk and the Republican Party throwing in millions of dollars with no limit to stop this candidate. But, if it's anything like Wisconsin where Elon Musk put on the cheese head hat and spent $28 million on a Supreme Court election, yet still lost, then maybe we can be hopeful.

ABDUL EL-SAYED

This candidate for Senator in the state of Michigan is a welcome sight for voters who are looking for someone full of righteous indignation because of all the things going wrong in America. Our children and grandchildren will not have a cloudy or questionable future under this candidate. We must protect voting rights, we must stabilize our runaway budget deficits, we must protect and assist 16,000 children that are American citizens in detention centers. We must not accept cynical, immoral political behavior. If you're looking for someone capable of returning us to pre-1987 where the Fairness Doctrine in politics was still in force you've got the right man. He has emerged like so many millions of other American children whose parents were immigrants, as the children went on to do good. His life has been filled with contributions to society, dignity and honor. He is mainstream and will honor our core values.

He has a heart, he has human qualities, decency, he has a record of helping people, he is well educated, he was captain of his high school football team, he graduated from the University of Michigan and Columbia medical school on a National Institute of Health scholarship. He then became a Rhodes scholar. Remember President William Clinton was a Rhodes scholar and did a lot for this country when he found 22 million new jobs, balanced the budget four years in a row, and passed a 10-year assault weapons ban. Of course, Mr. El-Sayed is not running for president, he's running for the U.S. Senate in the state of Michigan against Trump supported, MAGA Republican Mike Rogers. His opponent Mike Rogers is a product of corporate America, a product of the Donald Trump style of governance, power and position. He has become a millionaire from public service, cashing in on his office. On the other hand, Abdul is against all the money in politics. He was outspent 10 to 1 on his recent victory in the primary for Senate.

Abdul El-Sayed uses a unique forceful statement in his political speeches: “I will not back down”. When we see what's going on in Washington D.C. over money, over thousands of no-bid contracts, over a President that made $2.2 billion so far in his second term. He now has a Department of Justice and an FBI no longer working for the U.S. Constitution but is committed to a President. That’s why we should celebrate having a rule of law guardian as a candidate for the Michigan U.S. Senate seat. Remember Abdul as my blog suggests is returning to the beginning. He is a patriot just like those four physicians who signed the Declaration of Independence. Note well, Doctor Warren an influential physician in Boston gave his life to our county fighting at the battle of Bunker Hill. This candidate for Senate in the State of Michigan has made it clear he will stand up for the U.S. Constitution, he will stand up for the rule of law, he will govern with a heart and a soul, not with division, hatred, and money grubbing. Now I would like to lay out some of the problems, as I see them in America. This new U.S. Senate candidate will have to find patriotic remedies to overcome all the present chaos.

FIXING THE MESS

I am 89 years old, not in good health, I am a retired owner of a small Independent Insurance Agency. I am a grandfather. In the eighth grade I memorized the Gettysburg Address and ever since that time I have been hooked on politics as an avocation. I have written two self-published books on politics. I'm a draftee veteran with the fondest memories of my two years in France and Germany starting in 1956. I have studied diligently everything about the Founding Fathers. You may never find, historically, a finer group than those wealthy and powerful men that showed up in Philadelphia in 1787. They were not there seeking more power for themselves or more money, but to construct a document, that would create a “more perfect union”, set up of the people, by the people, and for the people. Every American should now believe we have a new mission to recapture the rule of law because it has been stressed for two years. My reason for writing remains seeking protection for our children and grandchildren who are so often faced with chaos mayhem and too much constant uncertainty. America is at a pivotal point. We either have a rebirth of freedom, or we drift off into a one-man rule/oligarchy. At this very moment we should be thinking of a patriotic way to keep American traditions and institutions alive and well. Without a vision, the people may perish. We are losing the fabric of our agencies and institutions, our universities and even the way we do business, is now stressed. We are not and never were a “woke” society, whatever that means. We have to restore dignity and honor to our politics. Remember a gross, terrible oversight on our 250^th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence was done. Any rational, honorable President sitting the White House on our 250^th anniversary would have invited ex-Presidents Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, Barack Obama and Joe Biden for a celebration dinner in the White House as a gesture of good will and spirituality over that great Declaration of Independence. This would have helped bind us all together as a nation. Instead, this President states that the loyal opposition is the “enemy of the people”. Fact-check!

This Administration has characterized the Democrats as communists. Oh really? Eleven years ago, I suggested that Donald Trump had Vladimir Putin envy. And the Mueller report suggested and proved that over 12 Russian operatives were involved in President Trump’s campaign. Also, for the past 11 years our President thinks so highly of Vladimir Putin that no matter what his CIA or any of his intelligence agencies tell him about that man he rejects it. For the past 11 years he speaks with Vladimir Putin, as far as we know at least every two or three months on the telephone. The content is secret, but he occasionally wants to make remarks to the public. For example, the Tomahawk missiles requested by Ukraine would not be given, because Vladimir Putin told him; “it wasn't a good idea”. That sounds very peculiar to me. Fact-check! Also, when he met with Putin last year in Alaska, he put out a red carpet and treated him like a dignitary or a big-time potentate of the highest order. Why do I bring this up? Well, CPAC, Fox News pundits, the NRA, and a large coterie of MAGA believe that Vladimir Putin really is a great leader. Viktor Orban has been to Mara Lago several times and also was a guest speaker at CPAC meetings. Now Victor Orban in April after 16 years was defeated in the Hungarian election. Vice President JD Vance was in town during the Hungarian election, as well as many Russian operatives. Vice President JD Vance played a recorded message from President Trump to the Hungarian voters encouraging them to vote for Viktor Orban. Dear reader, despite controlling all the TV, radio, Banks, and intelligence operations, Orban was defeated overwhelmingly by Prime Minister Magyar. And lest we forget the same thing happened over a year ago in Brazil where our President's friend Jaire Bolsonaro was also a dictator and he was defeated. Now remember Hungary was a form of communism and socialistic type government, just as Russia obviously is a communist socialist type of government. So, I fail to understand why it's necessary to call American Democrats communists? That has zero validity. It is all a distraction. Fact-check! Democrats are all seeking their office under the American rule of law, seeking to help the plight of the average American. Their argument is there is too much loss of medical coverage, gasoline too expensive, food prices rising, and the war in Iran draining our Treasury. It is peculiar that the Democratic party is now being called communist since the President’s best friends are indeed communists. Please correct me if I am wrong? Don’t forget CPAC and Fox News pundits, the NRA and several other groups have had admiration for Vladimir Putin and Viktor Orban for years. Why, what gives?

WHERE ARE WE HEADED?

The Trump Administration continues to practice divide and conquer; they are the good guys, and the bad guys won’t join their cult. Now MAGA is practicing as we speak a redistricting scheme. They want to redo voting schemes via gerrymandering, in Texas, Florida, Alabama, Louisiana and Tennessee to eliminate as much as possible, the political strength of Black communities and the political strength in Hispanic communities. They want to blend Black and Hispanic groups into larger MAGA groups to dilute the impact of minority voting. Their intention is to defeat the power of the minority vote. In Indiana for example when the redistricting scheme was proposed in that state, eight state Republican Senators said they were not going to abide in the clumsy, cynical, naked power grab orchestrated by President Donald Trump. The Trump Administration immediately ran their own eight MAGA Senators, resulting in six out of the eight Republican state Senators being defeated by the MAGA group. This seems to be political gymnastics of the very worst kind because they are getting more power using mind-bending cynicism. Consider this; Tennessee, Alabama, and Louisiana, despite having more than a 25% minority population may have no representation in Washington DC. How could this be? This is America, where the rights in America are that any citizen that pays their taxes and may die in battle for their country should also have 100% full rights of the franchise of voting. This is America at its worst when we try to eliminate the power of Black and Hispanic votes out of bigotry and cruelty and an obvious power grab. Rather than relying on decades of legal reasoning, our conservative United States Supreme Court supports the MAGA redistricting efforts because it fits their political ideology, which allows them to escape legal reasoning under the U.S. Constitution.

ANTI-SCIENCE

Science and enlightenment ideals thereof, are now under constant attack by minority theories over medicine, by conspiratorial theories being introduced that choose strange arguments over reason. We have now deconstructed most of our medical government institutions and are losing a majority of experts in the field of medicine. We are shutting down many aspects of our medical oversight protection like food poisoning, new diseases and now introducing chaos and mayhem in their place. Who would ever believe that decades of vaccine usage would now be under suspicion. Putting vaccines up for suspicion is now causing measles to return, and in the military flu outbreaks are happening because it is optional for a GI to turn down a flu shot. Again, we are causing a loss of faith in too many medical issues in the Federal government, even cancelling medical grants to universities, a tradition accepted for decades. We are now a third-rate country over medical research. This is America?

Imagine seeing forest fires 10 times worse than anything in the past 30 years, throughout the world. Greece, Spain, France, Canada, California, the state of Washington, all suffering from fires. Smoke this year in Michigan came in from Canada it was so bad in the Detroit area that outdoor workers were sent home. What is the remedy for all these years of mounting evidence that climate change is real? We don't have a remedy; the fact is that this Administration says it is all a hoax. All of the melting of the South Pole, all the melting of Greenland’s glaciers, all of the oceans heating up, and rising is all a hoax? This Administration is actually shutting down and canceling windmill contracts. So now we have CO2 in the air at 425 parts per million and increasing. Nothing that high has been recorded in the past 300,000 years according to ice core samples. Fact-check! How in heaven’s name can we disregard science over these important issues? Doesn’t the voter care about their children and grandchildren? Especially when over 95% of climate scientists believe global warming is real, and man-made. I believe that Ben Franklin, a great scientist, a great colonial politician, would be filled with ridicule for all of this new strange interpretation of medicine and science. Are we now practicing the witch doctor syndrome? This is America?

They are even attacking Doctor Anthony Fauci who put in over 40 years of provable good service via the National Institute of Health. Now because he occasionally disagreed with how to handle COVID during the first Trump Administration, they want to destroy his reputation. Senator Rand Paul got a hold of his diary and started mocking him for enjoying his popularity in Hollywood! They have no proof that he has done anything wrong or purposely hid medical information. Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky has made it a mission of his to destroy the reputation of this honorable doctor. This Senator actually said that doctor Fauci belongs in prison and that he should be punished for taking the 5^th Amendment in the hearings they recently had. Dear reader this hearing was right out of King Henry VIII Star Chamber where the witness is presented with no chance to defend themselves. All the conclusions and evidence were preconceived in thier negativity. The case is closed before the trial begins. The new cockeyed way for the MAGA group is, to believe someone they don’t like is guilty until proven innocent. Remember the rule of law suggests in our country that one is, “innocent until proven guilty”. I'm 89 years old, this is the first Congressional hearing I have watched on television where the inquisitors (MAGA Senators), were using the F bomb against the witness. There was no decency, no dignity, no professionalism in that panel except for the Democrats. MAGA Senators were on a mission of deflection and distraction. They were out for blood. It borders on the humorous in some respects. If you glimpse back 50 years to the Jackie Gleason TV show where he was the leader of the “Raccoon Club” and Art Carney was his chief crony. At their meetings they wore coonskin caps and they mocked Roberts’ Rules of Order. So, does Senator Rand Paul remind me of Jackie Gleason making jokes? Yes, but this Senator doesn’t know that his delivery is comical in his mission to destroy a reputation. My conclusion is that Senator Rand Paul, an eye doctor, is now suffering from a severe case of myopia!

Senator Rand Paul is from Kentucky where Abraham Linclon was born. Would Ben Franklin or Abraham Lincoln say that Senator Rand Paul distinguished himself at these hearings on August 5^th? I hardly think so. My personal suggestion is that we should stop wasting taxpayer money chasing foggy issues. Why should we listen to eighth grade bullies? America is better than that.

Why the need to seek criminal charges against Dr. Anthony Fauci? This is not the America that I've learned to love since 1937. We are slipping into a decline as the MAGA respect for the rule of law is twisted into a pretzel.

THE MILITARY

I was a draftee in 1956, spending most of my time in France and Germany. I studied to be a Personnel Specialist for seven weeks in the Bavarian Alps. My time in Europe as a 19 year and a 20-year-old was superb. I saw Rome, London, Paris Switzerland and the scaring to buildings in Munich Germany from WWII. I knew these memories would last a lifetime. I am proud of my two older brothers buried in Arlington National Cemetery. My oldest brother was shot by a German sniper in WWII but returned to combat in 6 weeks because the fighting was so heavy in the fall of1944. He stayed in the army and served in Korea and Vietnam. My next older brother was in North Korea when the Chinese invaded in 1950. He suffered dearly from that experience.

Now the military is going through an absolute top to bottom change. The “woke” military, the DEI military, will no longer be allowed. Huh? What does this mean? No one has any idea except to say that Black field grade officers will have their promotions reexamined to see if DEI was used. Women field grade officers may be a thing of the past as far as new promotions. And it looks like transgenders will never be considered in the military again. Generals must now practice total loyalty to the Trump Administration. The future lies with the President and the Secretary of Defense. They both have ideas on how Generals should be thinking. Their ideas are so strong that a four-time draft dodger President Donald Trump can now redo the entire curriculum of the four Military Academies, the Army, the Air force, the Navy and the Coast Guard. Somehow the President and the Secretary of Defense, Pete Hegseth have gained so much knowledge in a year and a half that they can replace 250-years of military knowledge with their own ideas? I have studied what is going on right now in the military. Now GIs are getting lousy food, they're not getting their mail, they have no JAG Corps to turn to. Their duty on ships is so long that they have run out of toiletries and decent food and many of them have had many months where they have not seen an American port or their family. The morale of the U.S. military is getting disgracefully lower. The Iran war can be described as a YO-YO operation with the American GIs not understanding day to day orders. Every patriotic American must pray and protest that we can keep our military members safe from all this chaos and mayhem surrounding them. The billions of taxpayers’ dollars being spent on a strange ideology is now begging for a remedy. This Administration has been floundering since February when they started bombing against Iran. Now the world economy is suffering literally trillions of dollars in losses as over 1,500 ships are stalled in the Straits of Hormuz.

THE END GAME

This November 3^rd is an important political contest of opinion. Never before have we seen something this important than now. We are facing a runaway budget of already over $3 trillion. Fact-check! This Administration is giving out hundreds and hundreds of no bid contracts. Now we are laying off brilliant Federal employees capriciously. The fabric of our Institutions is being destroyed by weird ideology being put together by MAGA malcontents and those who authored Project 2025 on a mission to remake America entirely. Is this a form of madness? History will know the answer, probably sooner than we want. One item alone should create sadness. The dismantling of USAID where American farm grown food in February 2025 was left in warehouses resulting in over 700,000 African children dying of starvation. USAID medical clinics in Africa were also closed down, causing more deaths. Fact-check, and then fact-check again! We are about to cut 30-40% of SNAP benefits to Americans that will impact children’s food. Are we losing our soul over strange political interpretations by the MAGA group? They used chain saws and bulldozers instead of professionalism and reason as they are destroying many of our Institutions.

Many of these MAGA followers proclaim their Christian religion, to the point where many of us believe they want a theocratic nation instead of the separation of church and state. However, it is very peculiar that they seem to have redacted two parables in the New Testament: The Rich Man and Lasarus in Luke, and The Sheep and the Goats in Matthew. Fact-check!

We must stress that we have a need for returning fundamental decency and honor in our political behavior. The disruption, the chaos and the mayhem must end. This missive should be fact-checked and fact-checked again. It would make me happy. We are living in a make-believe world where failure is considered success and cult like interpretation of MAGA ideas are now fully adopted.

We must return to the beginning of our political roots and embrace honor and dignity for another 250 years. PRAY AND PROTEST!
