Is the USA on the Slippery Slope Heading for Insolvency?

The problem is that MAGA Republicans in the House and Senate have actually abandoned their duties and turned their backs on their oaths and on their pledges to our country and our flag, by allowing the Executive branch to take their power. Is this a crisis? You betcha! And the answer is not an election next November. We don’t have that much time! The answer is reconsidering the two-party system, not tearing it down, but instead during this crisis, having every House member and every Senate member vote on matters of truth, honor, dignity and decency and not based on party affiliation. No American should participate in dismantling one of the greatest political experiments in history.

PRESIDENT TRUMP’S TRACK RECORD ON FEDERAL BUDGETING

As a real estate developer, he filed for bankruptcy six times. One of those times was with his casino where 800 employees lost their pensions because he could not succeed at running a business with a guaranteed, built-in profit. Note well that casino profit percentages are built into every single bet made in a casino and yet he still lost money! He was involved in 3,400 lawsuits as a real estate developer. Many of those suits were filed by subcontractors that were not paid.

In the first year of his second term, he has already accumulated a federal debt of more than $2.3 trillion. We are now quickly approaching a $40 trillion national debt. With his Iran war going full tilt, it will cost another trillion to extract ourselves from that mess. Remember, do your fact checking. In the fiscal year 2025 under President Donald Trump, we paid $970 billion in interest costs on that national debt. You can almost guarantee that within a year, that debt service will become over $1 trillion.

Dear reader the American citizens are asked to fund the U.S. Treasury through taxes. One of the major problems is, this president has expanded the friendship of all billionaires by reducing their share of taxes, going back seven years ago and passing it forward another seven years last year. Remember, Joe Biden added a record number of jobs for any president, as he found 17,000,000 new positions in four years. Fact check! Then remember in Trump’s second term so far, it appears he is running close to zero over job growth since assuming his second term. Fact check!

A depressing situation has occurred over the federal employees who were laid off by Elon Musk working under DOGE. He said and I quote, “we must get rid of the weeds” (the federal employees). But dear reader, they left many of the departments in a mess and had to call many of the people back to work. Then to make matters worse, instead of sustaining the departments internally, they put out no-bid contracts to keep departments running. Fact check! Laying off 200,000 federal employees should have added that savings into the U.S. Treasury, but it did not.

WHAT IS THE REMEDY FOR THIS MESS?

We are in dire straits with the Executive branch controlling now practically 85% of the political and financial power in our government. Ironically, we're about to celebrate our 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. But now it appears that even though we defeated King George III, we are now about to put in the United States of America's first king. When 10 million people show up legally protesting, “No Kings” then there must be some evidence as the voters acting as a jury make their feelings known. Only someone visiting from Mars would not know that our government is under stress. All aspects of our society are changing their configuration to conform to the new government. DEI is replaced in all corporations, all universities and the military by a new philosophy created by the Executive branch. Is it causing chaos and mayhem? You betcha.

We can recapture our freedom and liberty! Remember our Constitution was given to us in 1787 by a unique group of 55 Founding Fathers who wanted to create a government, “of the people, by the people and for the people”. The key is to now get back to our traditional form of government. Our Constitution was constructed in three parts: Article 1 the House and Senate, Article 2 the Executive branch, and Article 3 the Judicial. The problem is that MAGA Republicans in the House and Senate have actually abandoned their duties and turned their backs on their oaths and on their pledges to our country and our flag, they then allowed the Executive branch to assume their Constitutional power. Is this a crisis? You betcha! And the answer is not an election next November. We don’t have that much time! The answer is reconsidering the two-party system, not tearing it down, but instead during this crisis, having every House member and every Senate member vote on matters of truth, honor, dignity and decency instead of party affiliation. No American should participate in dismantling one of the greatest political experiments in history. Every member in that House and that Senate should think of their family. They should think about the judgement of history. And they should think about a just God, who sees all and knows all. We must simply regain checks and balances, oversight and most of all, the purse strings. If we recapture the purse strings and oversight, we can almost guarantee in the next six months saving perhaps a trillion dollars or more. There is no rational reason why we cannot celebrate the Declaration of Independence by reaffirming our freedom, our liberty and the rule of law. Historians will no doubt judge favorably all of those House and Senate members that protected Article 1, to protect this great gift of freedom and liberty given to us by our Founding Fathers. Why should we give up on the most successful (admittedly not perfect) form of government ever produced by man?

The people want action. The people want to retake the rule of law. The people know there is something totally improper going on in Washington D.C. today. Now we must look at every opportunity to begin again in changing the trajectory of our economic mess. Let us pray to a just God that we can retain our freedom and liberty for another 250 years. Dear reader, 55 MAGA Republican Senators and House members are retiring this year. We all must encourage them to reestablish the rule of law and control of the purse strings before they leave Washington, DC. Their final action should be representing their constituents by restoring Article 1 of the U.S. Constitution. History will congratulate them for saving the honor and decency of their country by so doing.

Remember, the truth will make us free. Remember, without a vision, the people may parish. Now is the time to take the high road for the good of the country. A vote for bringing back checks and balances and honoring our U.S. Constitution is the decent thing to do. It will help get rid of so much chaos and mayhem.

We simply must protect the political future for our children and grandchildren.
