The U.S. Democratic Party is Soft on Boasting

My best offer to Democrats? Don't be ashamed to talk of your successes historically and politically. You have the credentials that have helped and assisted the American voter. Load up your rhetorically truthful weapons and fight back right now. Talk about the fact that our environment politically is being invaded by a wrecking crew full of hyper madness, lies and innuendo. 

The Democratic party won’t say the truth. President Donald Trump is a lawless racketeer!

Dear reader, in October of 2024 several publications in Europe were quite impressed with our political successes in the economic area, because of lower inflation than other EU countries. Also 17,000,000 new jobs in four years, a stock market with much success, an Infrastructure Bill, gun legislation, pulling out of Afghanistan, and so forth and so forth. So, the question is why did the Democrats lose the election in November of 2024?

FAILURE TO EXPLAIN REMARKABLE POLITICAL EVENTS

When Joe Biden won the U.S. Presidency in 2020, he won fair and square! There were no facts, no evidence, and no proof of a “rigged election” stated to this day way too often by President Donald Trump. There were 62 lawsuits filed in that election, and they all failed but one (a very minor infraction). The lawsuits were found to be without merit. Yet the insurrectionists egged on by President Donald Trump stormed the Capitol building trying to intimidate Vice President Mike Pence over the Electoral College vote. Thousands of insurrectionists attacked the building, caused much physical damage to the building and also caused much physical and mental damage to the Capitol police. Dear reader, you had better note that, as high as 50% of those Capitol police had earlier voted for Donald Trump for President. Later 1,600 insurrectionists were convicted, properly, legally and constitutionally of wrongdoing. The night of the Electoral College event after the Capitol was cleared of insurrectionists, a vote was taken to make President Joe Biden our new leader. It should be noted that eight MAGA Senators voted “no” and 144 MAGA Congressmen also voted “no” on the Electoral College tally. And their evidence for the “no” vote? They never produced it. Was this a goofy, sorry situation, still befuddling to this day? You betcha.

President Donald Trump still rants that it was a “rigged election”. But now, the day after taking his second term in office, 1/22/25, he pardoned the 1,600 insurrectionists. Dear reader, did he have new proof of their innocence? No, he did not and note well that 83% of Americans polled disagreed with those pardons. Please fact check! Most of the MAGA Senators and Congressmen that voted not to endorse Joe Biden that day in the Capitol building were reelected. Did the Democratic operatives ever comment on the sad outcome that the MAGA group that voted “no” were all reelected? Remember, they voted “no” without producing evidence which should question their allegiance to their oath. Did the Democrats make anything out of it? Nope. Now President Donald Trump continues to spout the myth that the election was “rigged”. But his DOJ and his MAGA followers will not give the voters new facts, new evidence or new proof of why they continue to live their lives in a make-believe world. And remember, if any MAGA follower disagrees with the President over that election being “rigged”, they will not be appointed to any office in the Trump Administration. Historians no doubt will be scratching their heads on this strange and sad political situation.

Now let’s review the 2022 pullout of Afghanistan on the orders of President Joe Biden. Unfortunately, 13 American GIs lost their lives in that evacuation. Did the Democratic Party remind the voters that Alexander the Great, 3,000 years ago, in conquering all of the Middle East, bypassed Afghanistan? Did the Democratic Party explain to the voters that President Gerald Ford, when he ordered the evacuation of Vietnam in 1975, lost 68 GIs killed and much more American military equipment left behind? Did they explain that the British backed out of Afghanistan twice since 1850? And the Russians left in 1989 after 10 years of futility? Nope. President Joe Biden saw the futility and no purpose of the war and courageously decided to get us out! Remember, prior President Donald Trump had no sound analysis of the Afghanistan war while he was President. He came up with no practical ideas on how to get out. After we pulled out, former President Donald Trump relentlessly criticized the Biden Administration decisions. Was his negative ranting fairly spoken? We will have to allow historians to give an opinion.

In February of 2024 a news release was offered: over 100 professional political science professors that had answered a survey on the standing of the 47 past Presidents of the United States. Joe Biden was ranked fourteenth. And former President Donald Trump was ranked dead last. Remember, Joe Biden reestablished friendship with the EU countries, strengthened NATO, and assisted Ukraine after the Russians invaded the country. Remember President Biden created 17,000,000 new jobs, had a substantial infrastructure Bill passed, and passed new gun laws. And then remember that under Donald Trump we lost over a million Americans to COVID, and after a vaccine was made available it is estimated that another 100,000 Americans lost their lives for failure to be vaccinated. Finally, when President Donald Trump left office he had increased the Federal deficit by $7.6 trillion. And please note that when Joe Biden left office, he left a $2.6 trillion increase in the Federal deficit. But in fairness to Joe Biden, six years earlier, Donald Trump had passed a tax reduction that affected especially the very rich. Meanwhile, did the Democratic Party talk about how those political scientists that thought that Joe Biden should be ranked 14th? Nope. Why not? Dear reader, I do not have an answer, but I thought it was a newsworthy event.

In May of 2024 Donald Trump was being tried in New York on 34 counts of fraud from the 2016 election in front of a jury. He demanded his MAGA followers be in the courtroom showing support in front of the jury. House Speaker Michael Johnson made an appearance in the courtroom showing himself to the jury. Dear reader, imagine if speaker Nancy Pelosi had showed up at a jury trial where perhaps a Democratic candidate for President may have been criminally charged for fraudulent political activity! The House Republicans would have no doubt started an impeachment within days of such an event. Did the Democratic Party condemn Speaker Mike Johnson’s presence in front of the jury? Hardly anything.

Did the Democrats ever cite in the past election cycle, their respect for those 55 men in 1787 in Philadelphia who created the U.S. Constitution? Very little. They hardly ever brought up our Founding Fathers, defending them and honoring their patriotism. This in retrospect is a very serious error. Any honest American candidate should return to the colonial times when our great government started, if they're running for a political office in the United States of America. Our history and our foundations should be talked about as a display of patriotism, which was first called out by President George Washington in 1792.

Let's talk about the “woke” Democrats. Did they boast of setting up Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, USAID, or Truman’s passing of a law giving a free lunch to American school children? Did they boast of FEMA and many other protective things that would indeed improve our society? Did they defend DEI (diversity equity and inclusion) as a just and proper program? Nope. Was DEI a program that benefits the United States of America in the area of fairness? You better believe it.

Let's talk about tariffs. The talk of tariffs is so out of sorts and peculiar that we should create a new word in the English language called TERRORIFFS. What good is such a program that can economically hurt so many other counties, including our own? What good is a program that divides and divides so many nations? Studies have shown tariffs do more harm than good economically. Are the Democrats speaking out against this matter? Yes, but they're just throwing marshmallows when they could be speaking louder and more clearly, and adding more truth bombs. The unpredictability of the terroriffs program offered by the President of the United States is shameless, ridiculous and leading to an impossibility for small businesses to plan ahead. Tariffs are killing our farmers who don't know what to plant. The USAID farmers for example, now what will happen to them or those other farmers who have planted soybean crops? Are we headed for a dark place because of the tariffs? Stay tuned because it's not a brightly lit room we are now entering. If those in the Trump Administration are demanding we convert to more manufacturing in the United States of America, that will take two or three years to complete at best. Trust me America, we will be totally broke by then if we don’t get real and embrace more common sense. The Steel and Aluminum users in America are now bracing for the TERRORIFFS!

Meanwhile who does President Trump really want to win the war between Russia and Ukraine? Remember, Russia invaded Ukraine. Ukraine's only sin is being a former part of the Soviet Union which has been dissolved. Now Ukraine is a democratic independent country. Is that a sin? But our President treats the two participants, Ukraine and Russia, as equally to blame for this crisis. Why? Is it because President Donald Trump, for over 10 years, has had “Putin envy” over all of his power? Is it because our President has more respect for Victor Orban, a wannabe dictator of Hungary, than he does for George Washington or Ronald Reagan or Abraham Lincoln? He recently suggested that the two parties just have to fight it out like children on a playground. Shouldn’t all Western nations be behind a freedom loving country like Ukraine? How in heavens name, did we get into a situation where in negotiations, a Russian dictator and a freedom loving President of Ukraine are treated by the Trump Administration on an equal footing? Has the Democratic Party showed enough empathy and sympathy in an attempt to keep a continuing alliance going with Ukraine in force? Nope.

Why is all of the lack of knowledge amongst the American voters so prevalent? The answer is quite simple; the average voter is not into the daily events of politics. They are at soccer games with their children. Many of them have more than one job, many of them have lost interest in American politics, and many of them can't differentiate or can't contrast and distinguish positions between the two parties. This is outrageous. This is an outrageous development in a 250-year-old Republic. Lack of knowledge has put us in a vulnerable position. For example, the hard right in American politics hammers to this day on the shortcomings of former President Joe Biden. Was there a just and proper defense of the Joe Biden four-year term in office? Not hardly. They failed to tell the voter that despite his seemingly weak health and his seemingly lack of being a great orator had nothing to do with his performance. He performed well even if he may at times not looked well. I said it before and I'll say it again, Thomas Jefferson could not look you in the eye, he was a terrible orator, he had a slave concubine, but history has held him in very high political esteem. Perhaps, just as those 100 political scientists said in February of 2024 thinking that Joe Biden should be ranked 14th or better in the long tale of history.

Where did the Democratic Party perhaps fail the most? Dear reader there is enough in the background of President Donald Trump to produce a rap sheet of unlawfulness. Does the public know all of his business past, all of his criminal past, all of his wrongdoing? No. The Democratic Party is tossing marshmallows to this day instead of truth bombs. They should remind the voter daily that there's too much dishonesty and lying going on, emanating from the White House, and right-wing MAGA operatives. Thousands and thousands of documented false statements have been shown through fact checking to indeed be lies. And relentless lies at that. And lies given with no shame what so ever! And dear reader, please remember that in November after the election, both President Donald Trump and Elon Musk stated they do not like being fact checked.

My best offer to Democrats? Don't be ashamed to talk of your successes historically and politically. You have the credentials that have helped and assisted the American voter. Load up your rhetorically truthful weapons and fight back right now. Talk about the fact that our environment politically is being invaded by a wrecking crew full of hyper madness, lies and innuendo. The antidote? The DNC should have a weekly truth bomb memorandum issued every Tuesday at noon. It should go to all news outlets with copies to all Democratic politicians in Washington, DC. It should be carefully fact checked for total accuracy explaining all the disinformation and lies put out by MAGA Republicans the week before the memorandum. Emphasis should be those improper words spoken by the President, the Speaker of the House, Fox news and it should include any other newsworthy exaggerations that are harmful to the voting public. This is a crucial time in American politics, truth should be at a premium to counter political misinformation and disinformation.

Let's seek God's help in saving our children and grandchildren from anti-American, un-American, anti-science, anti-climate change, and most importantly those who disregard and are capricious over truth. We should defend DEI (diversity, equity and inclusion). The Democratic party should be proud to continue as “woke” do-gooders! Democrats have a great history of public service, one that is full of public good outcomes.
