Truth Bombs and Dying Declarations

The Trump Administration intends on keeping us safe from all the insane bus boys, criminal dishwashers, and rapist cabbage and strawberry pickers. Their job is to get those dangerous immigrants out of our lives at the cost of billions and billions of squandered American tax dollars spent on ICE agent’s overtime, face masks, and bulletproof vests. Meanwhile they are given instructions to be mean and blindly follow orders to grab any immigrant they can find off the street. Remember dear reader, Americans polled do not like the way ICE is treating immigrants. The fact is, most Americans don't know that under the Obama Administration, millions of immigrants were deported without chaos. More importantly they were deported within the rule of law.

Before God and all the Saints, it is very easy for me to agree with the above.

I am 88 years old, a grandfather, a retired small business owner, and a writer by avocation. I am an Army veteran with two older brothers buried in Arlington National Cemetery. My military time in France and Germany in 1957 was truly a great experience for a 19-year-old draftee. I was sent from France to study for seven weeks in Germany and took the Orient Express train and came back seven weeks later, on Air France. I have only good memories from my entire two years in the service. Afterwards, I used some of my GI Bill to earn a bachelor’s degree in history.

The main part of my working career was involved in insurance. I bought into an independent Insurance Agency and retried 35 years later. I was always writing political letters and have had two self-published books. My ex-wife and I raised three wonderful children before we parted, 24 years ago.

I have always been interested in politics and history. My favorite Americans are George Washington (properly designated as the Father of our Country), Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln, Theodore Roosevelt, Franklin Roosevelt, John F. Kennedy, Ronald Reagan, Bill Clinton, Barack Obama and of course Joe Biden. Joe Biden is going to be held in high esteem by historians, in my opinion. Already 100 professional political scientists have pegged him as 14th out of 47 Presidents while at the same time suggesting Donald Trump's first term as President ranked him dead last. Don't believe Donald Trump and the Fox News pundits who use way too many negatives aimed at a very decent public servant in Joe Biden. My favorite religious figures are Saint Francis of Assisi, Saint Thomas More, Pope John the 23rd and Pope Francis. (President Abraham Lincoln was a practicing Christian embracing great humanity for all.) And now please dear reader remember that Christ is the ultimate in truth and love.

Five years ago, I had a robotic surgical operation because of colon cancer. (I had also had a splenectomy in 2005). The robotic surgery failed. The morning I was scheduled to be released from the hospital, a doctor came into the room saying, “I'm sorry but blood tests show you are in major trouble because of your surgical procedure failing.” This was on a Saturday morning, and I simply told him that I didn't want to make any decision on another surgery until Monday. He responded, “Sir you will be dead by Monday!” So I went into surgery 6 hours later and came out barely alive. I was on a ventilator and remained in intensive care for over 15 days. My significant other was allowed to sleep every night in my room, and she remained for the entire period, driving back and forth from her office in heavy traffic. I often wonder if I would have survived without someone so close by. After intensive care I spent six more weeks in the hospital and three weeks in a rehab center adapting to a stomach pouch and regaining my strength. I was gone so long my significant other and one of my children re-did my apartment to accommodate changes in view of my health. Here is the point dear reader. With five days remaining in rehab, I woke up one morning realizing I was going to live! And I made a promise that I would honor my God and my country from that point on. I had written 10 years earlier, a self-published book called End Times Prose and Poetry. That book is about the dangers of climate change. An attorney friend of mine helped me write to the 20 top leaders of the free world seeking recognition that our environmental Earth was in danger. I received acknowledgement letters sympathetically written from Taiwan, Mexico, France, and Canada. Climate change remains a serious threat to the entire Earth as we know it. But right now, the survival of the rule of law in America is a much bigger problem.

In February of 2023 another friend of mine got me involved in my current blog (returntothebeginning.com). Dear reader, I have averaged almost a blog a week ever since. America is in danger of losing the U.S. Constitution. We have never tolerated dictators, authoritarians, or kings since we defeated King George III of England in 1782. Now dear reader we are verging toward despotism, chaos and mayhem lead by a self-possessed President who has for over 10 years had “Putin Envy”. He has also entertained Viktor Orban, a wannabe dictator from Hungary at Mara Lago in Florida. Don't forget that Fox News pundits, CPAC and other right-wing conservatives consider Orban and Putin as better leaders than George Washington or Ronald Reagan. Tucker Carlson has made it a point to interview Vladimir Putin in Russia and has also visited a Russian supermarket as if to show that they had many items on their shelves! Tucker Carlson also boasted of favoring the politics of Viktor Orban. Dear reader, look around, do your studies. How many immigrants are flocking to Russia? How many immigrants are flocking to Hungary? People are voting with their feet, and they always choose the United States because they're looking for freedom. They are looking for jobs. The United States of America, until the November 2024 election, was held in high esteem economically by all free nations. Remember, 17,000,000 new jobs were added under Joe Biden, stability in government and friendship with all of our allies was Biden's rule. Dear reader, do your fact checking. We are not a "failing nation" as Donald Trump suggested often during the campaign of last summer. He often demeaned a properly elected President, Joe Biden. And of course Fox News pundits shamelessly and daily poured on the invective against President Joe Biden. Were most of their interpretations B.S.? You betcha!

Our President and Fox News pundits both want their viewers and followers to believe there is an immigrant criminal on every subway and behind every tree. I see it as rabble rousing and pure baloney! The remedy is simple, more common sense regulations to control the inflow of immigrants. This is instead of so many cruel and crude attempts to criminalize all immigrants.

President Donald Trump in his second term has decided that immigrants, (as he stated over 10 years ago when announcing his run for the Presidency), stated we are being over run with immigrants that are criminals, rapists and insane. We were being set up for his new program of theatrics using the immigrants as props. Dear reader please, please do your homework. Immigrants commit fewer crimes than the average ordinary American citizen. Please note that well because it is indeed a fact. So, what’s going on here? Well, it's the old trick of divide and conquer. Find someone to dislike and beat them into the ground to influence the opinion of the viewers and followers. Fox News pundit Sean Hannity sells more soap and more pillows by beating up on immigrants nightly. And he is relentless in his promotion of disinformation and hate. Does he know what he's talking about? Dear reader, take my word for it or check it out yourself, its pure exaggeration to please his gullible Fox viewers and keep the easy led in his corner. He doesn’t know what the heck he's talking about. And note well that Rupert Murdock, owner of Fox News, does not want the exaggeration and innuendo against immigrants to stop because it keeps his viewers happy and keeps his stock portfolio up. And as far as President Donald Trump constantly degrading fellow American politicians and immigrants, the reader would do well to know that the Washington Post, which has been fact checking President Trump his entire first term, documented over 30,000 lies and half-truths. Please fact check! Now, just this week, sadly sees a fake need from the Trump Administration to send in the National Guard and the Marine Corps to take part in the deportation of immigrants from California. Dear reader, more trickery! Strangely enough ICE is hardly after all those criminals and rapists! No! They are invading Home Depot, 7 elevens, restaurants, high schools, churches and now they are actually chasing down immigrants between rows of cabbage patches and strawberry patches. Where are we headed? Who is going to pick the vegetables, fruits and nuts? Dear reader, our President and ICE don't really give a damn about the California farm industry despite their feeble apologies at stopping farm worker deportations. They don’t care about the restaurant industry. They intend on keeping us safe from all the insane bus boys, criminal dishwashers, and rapist cabbage and strawberry pickers. If the above isn't bad enough, now the Trump Administration has caused the creation of a new English word that I have coined, calls TERRORIFFS! You know it as his favorite word; tariffs. Something that has historically been discounted as a generally worthless method of controlling trade. Some Trump Administrators harbor the fictitious fantasy that the new American tariffs will transform and enrich American's way of doing business. Some of them actually believe that given a couple years time to employ their tactics over tariffs, it will transform our national economy. Oh really?

And now currently, they are looking at how bad the science community is in America. They are discounting climate change as just something made-up by crazy university professors and meteorologists. So, are we to believe that it was not really 120° in Las Vegas last year breaking a record? So, what about the 100° for sixty straight days in Arizona after staying above 100° many nights. So, is all of this stuff simply “woke” conspiracies to make Americans nervous? Is it Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden just making this stuff up? Is it all a result of DEI (Diversity, Equity and Inclusion) instituted by "woke" Democrats? Dear reader, look deeper for facts concerning DEI because it is a great positive concept to install fairness into our political lives.

Meanwhile we have recently abandoned 15 of our most competent scientists with vast knowledge of vaccinations. Great leaders in that science have been simply let go. Meanwhile, who cares if USAID is canceled by DOGE, now leaving hundreds of thousands of children starving in Africa. As Bill Gates said, “the richest man in the world (Elon Musk) has destroyed the lives of starving African children”. And now American farmers whose crops were grown for USAID have been abandoned. It is shocking to me that Robert Kennedy Jr., nephew of USAID's founder President John F. Kennedy has not commented about the thousands of children condemned to dying because of curtailing the agency that was established in 1962 by his uncle. Is he really that indifferent to all of this cruelty, this crudeness, and this disregard of our fellow human beings? What have we come to in America? Elon Musk was made head of DOGE, and had the gumption to say, “we must get rid of the “weeds” (federal employees) and some Institutions must go or the “weeds” will come back.” Dear reader, do your fact checking, or we will be quickly known as a sick, demented nation that thoughtlessly tosses out qualified Federal employees.

Immigrants and the Christian Faith

Many American Christian Nationalists want omnipotent power given to President Donald Trump even though the first Commandment in the Bible states, “You shall have no other Gods before me”. All of the MAGA followers that have been appointed to this Trump Administration, must now follow their leader in every issue, even if it is contrary to the U.S. Constitution. (Fact check!) Our 55 Founding Fathers in their wildest dreams would never abide in America being led by a dictator or a king.

Vice President J.D. Vance has actually disapproved of the opinion of Pope Francis and now Pope Leo XIV over their emphasis on treating immigrants sympathetically or empathetically. This Administration does not want to lend any humanity or any decency, nor any legal rights to their targeted immigrants. As I stated earlier, Barack Obama deported millions of immigrants legally and humanely. Dear reader, in my New Testament Bible I have worn out the rose-colored-print pages (the words of Jesus). Christ asked us to defend the welfare of “the least of our brethren”. I suggest every Christian should read “The sheep and the goats”, in Mathew. Then read “The rich man and Lazarus” in Luke. Both parables by Christ suggest that failure to abide in his words will guarantee an eternity of suffering. Dear reader, I encourage you to fact check my two quotes from the New Testament and to read them thoughtfully. And I encourage every U.S. Senator and every U.S. Congressman to read these two parables.

We can resolve the deportation problems without losing our very souls. However, our troubles will persist if immigrants are continually treated like lesser human beings and the objects of derision.

Let us all pray to a just God who will guide us into fairness over this immigrant situation. I respectfully encourage President Donald Trump and is Cabinet to embrace the Biblical parables I noted above.

Finally dear reader, the fight for justice is a constant and noble American tradition. We are now out of step with the calling of our Founding Fathers! Are we bending toward despotism? You betcha! Let us fight to remain a great country, one that is of, by, and for the people!
